Overview

The Leadership Retreat will be more of a "staycation" than a retreat...but the purpose behind it is the same. We have transitioned from meeting at the NDI Theater as Crossroads into our new building as City Presbyterian and a lot has changed. As a result of the conversations we had during the Drinks, Dessert, and Discussion evenings, we are setting aside some time to think and plan intentionally for the next season of church life at 210 Truman.

It is really important that we have our core people attend this weekend event in order to provide clarity and set the tone for the fall. We want to be a church who is on the same page, working towards the same mission with joy and excitement about the good news of the gospel. We also want to make sure our volunteers are equipped and supported to serve in their positions.

Schedule

If you serve as an Elder, a Deacon, a Ministry Team Lead, or a Volunteer this retreat is for you! Please plan on being there during the meetings scheduled for your position!

Meals

City Pres will be providing Breakfast and Lunch for those who attend the retreat! Elders & Deacons can grab breakfast treats and coffee before their meeting. Deacons are welcome to stay for lunch after the meeting, just make sure and let us know which meals you will be partaking in. Elders & Ministry team leaders will get lunch as they head into the 12:00p meeting. Elders & Ministry team leaders will stay for the 3:00-6:00pm meeting with the ministry team volunteers. To simplify the event we have chosen not to have dinner at the church after the last meeting, instead, consider grabbing a group of friends to go out somewhere nearby!

Child Care

We are not able to provide child care for the entire day, however, there will be childcare in the nursery for the meeting from 3:00-6:00pm which will likely have the largest number of atendees with young kids. If you have older kiddos, we will have a movie set up in another room for them to watch during the meetings.

RSVP!

It is going to be really important that we get an accurate head count for this event because of the meals, set-up and preparation for each session, and child care! If you are planning on attending please visit our Facebook Event page, and RSVP by choosing "Going" AND leave a comment in the discussion specifying which meals you will be eating and the number of kids who will be in the nursery from 3-6p. If you do not use Facebook, please email Emily and specify which meeting you will attend, which meals you will eat, and if you will be needing childcare. Thanks!
